Meet Our CEO

Roberta Trombetta, Esq. joined Carson Valley Children’s Aid in 2012 and has dedicated her life to serving the needs of others. A strong advocate for children, Roberta is an experienced leader and innovator in the area of family serving systems.

Roberta has spent her career developing best practice programs and leading reform efforts in child welfare and juvenile justice.  As Chief of Operations for Philadelphia Family Court, Roberta enhanced court processes and developed initiatives with child welfare and juvenile justice system stakeholders so as to ensure that families and children who are court involved receive fair, consistent and effective responses and services. Having also served as the Managing Director of Pennsylvania’s Southeast Regional Office of Children Youth, Roberta was instrumental in helping the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Human Services identify critical needs and implement practice reform.  Roberta’s other accomplishments include overseeing treatment services for Pennsylvania’s most serious juvenile offender development centers, developing innovative best practice youth serving “start-up” organizations that address youth violence, reintegration, truancy and detention diversion; decreasing Philadelphia’s Youth Study Center Population; and implementing a collaborative dispositional planning process for Philadelphia’s Family Court. Roberta’s experience working in city government, state government, the private sector, law and academia, provides her with a unique ability to analyze complex issues and put into practice solutions that build on the strengths and responds to the needs of system partners. Roberta is a lifelong Philadelphian who grew up in West Philadelphia. She obtained her B.S. in Business Administration from Drexel University and her J.D. from Temple University School of Law as an Evening Student.
