POSITION:       Clinical Director
LOCATION:      Flourtown Neighborhood Center
STATUS:          Full-Time, Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum requirements for the position
1. A licensed mental health clinician, including psychiatrist, psychologist, licensed professional counselors LPC, and licensed clinical social workers (LCSW).

2.  If not licensed as defined above, must meet criteria for all items below:

Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline, such as Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Psychiatric Nursing and Marriage and Family therapy, for example.

Master’s Degree must include clinical coursework in the foundations of behavioral health and the provision of mental health services (i.e., individual group and family therapy, abnormal psychology, psychopathology, cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic therapy, crisis counseling, assessment, child development, personality theory, psychotherapy lab, clinical practicum)Other courses may not count as determined by review of transcript/syllabi.

In order for a degree to count as a mental health degree, the degree must contain at least (12) credit hours in core behavioral health coursework as defined above. No more than three (3) of these twelve (12) credit hours can be derived from a supervised clinical mental health practicum experience (teaching/education/other non-clinical practicum experiences will not count). Courses such as statistics, program and policy development, and administration, will not be counted as behavioral health courses because they do not include instruction in the direct provision of mental health services. If coursework is part of a medical degree, there must be clear evidence that the course was directly related to the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders rather than medial conditions. Appropriate medical degrees/training will include substantial training in mental health disorders; medical degrees that are behavioral health-related usually include a residency in psychiatry.

3.  At least two (2) years verified post-Master’s experience providing mental health treatment including psychotherapy, counseling, and assessment. If the supervisor if supervising clinicians treating children, the experience must be with children.

4.  And five (5) years of clinical and administrative supervisory experience and experience developing and implementing clinical programming and supportive systems.

DESCRIPTION:  The Clinical Director is responsible for oversight and management of clinical treatment and treatment planning for children on residential campus.  The Clinical Director is also responsible for overseeing design and implementation of the clinical practice; developing internal and external policies and procedures, improving the quality of service delivery and supervision of clinical staff.

 

POSITION: Clinical Director
LOCATION: Behavioral Health Services, New Covenant
STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS:  Doctorate degree in psychology form an accredited college or university, current and valid PA psychology license in good standing; five years clinical and administrative supervisory experience and experience developing and implementing clinical programming and supportive systems.
DESCRIPTION:  Clinical Director will be responsible for the oversight and management of clinical treatment and treatment planning for children and families receiving Community Behavioral Health Services (currently STS and BHRS).  This oversight will include the direct supervision of 2 Assistant Directors (Phila. and Norristown).  Related responsibilities include overseeing the design and implementation of the clinical practice, developing internal and external policies and procedures, identifying and developing program expansion efforts, improving the quality of service delivery and determining and addressing training needs.

 

POSITION:       Compliance Officer
LOCATION:      Behavioral Health Services, New Covenant
STATUS:          Full-Time, Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS:  Advanced degree such as Master’s, PH.D, or J.D. with at least 5 years of progressive experience in health and human services program management.  Also must have a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
Demonstrated experience and success in formulating and implementing policies and procedures that strengthen internal controls and are aligned with the best practices in the field. 
Thorough knowledge of and experience in the rules regulations and procedures for government grants and contracts in the health and human services program area.
DESCRIPTION:  The CVCA Compliance Officer is responsible for developing the organizational compliance program and overseeing the legal, regulatory and contractual compliance CVCA’s programs and services.  The goal is to ensure that all program operations meet legal and regulatory requirements as well as applicable contractual mandates.  This position also takes the lead in establishing, monitoring and improving business practices.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree and  Pennsylvania Certificate in the following area required:  Phys. Ed./Health  Pa. Special Education Certification in addition to one of the above certifications is a plus. 
DESCRIPTION: Responsible for developing and implementing educational programming for all students.  Will maintain an educational curriculum which reflects the agency’s goals; maintains a professional rapport with staff, students and parents and maintains continuing professional development.
 

 

POSITION: Behavior Support Specialist
LOCATION: Flourtown Neighborhood Center
STATUS: Full Time
QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a social service field or Education; or
    • Associates degree in a social service field or Education plus 2 years’ experience or
    • High school diploma plus 5 years’ experience;
    • Experience working with at-risk youth in a school setting; or working in a mental health field with emotionally disturbed adolescents
    • Valid Driver's License and good driving record

DESCRIPTION: The Behavior Support Specialistis responsible for de-escalating crisis situations and providing the necessary attention and services to students who are experiencing behavioral difficulties in the Day Treatment Program. 

  

POSITION: Teacher Assistant-Nursery School
LOCATION: Flourtown Neighborhood Center
STATUS: Part Time
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum High School diploma or Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university, and certification from the state. One (1) year of experience with children.
DESCRIPTION: Job responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting teachers in planning and executing lessons for students who range in age from 2-5, setting up, preparing and cleaning up snacks, and enforcing proper safety for children on the playground.  Also modeling and reinforcing positive behavior, manners and respect, helping with diapering, potty training and bathroom duties.  Reading stories, playing games and singing songs are also part of daily responsibilities.  Teacher Assistant will enforce all DPW and private academic rules and regulations.
 

 

 POSITION: Professional Parent
LOCATION:
Allegheny West Neighborhood Center
STATUS: Full Time
QUALIFICATIONS: 
Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma with at least 2 years’ experience with high risk youth considered. This is a live-in position. A driver’s license is not required
DESCRIPTION: The Professional Parent is responsible for the care, supervision and in home treatment of the three to four youths placed in the Community Home for which the parent is responsible.  The Professional Parent assists in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of effective treatment plans for the youths placed.  The Professional Parent is also responsible for maintaining a clean, safe living environment which is conducive for the growth and development of the young people served and meets all state, local and agency requirements for health and safety.

 

POSITION: Bi-Lingual Rapid Response Case Worker 
LOCATION:
Allegheny West Neighborhood Center
STATUS: Full Time
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field, and at least three years of experience working with children and families preferably in the child welfare system.  Also must have a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle. MUST BE BI-LINGUAL(ENGLISH/SPANISH)
DESCRIPTION: The RSR Case Worker is responsible for the delivery of culturally sensitive family preservation services which insures the safety of family members, empowers the adults in the family to properly care for the family’s children and prevent the unnecessary out of home placement of the family’s children.  The Case Worker provides at least four hours of services per week to the family in the family’s home and/or home community.  Responsible for case documentation and for maintaining weekly contact via phone and/or e-mail with the assigned DHS Intake Worker, the RSRI Case Worker also assists in assuring continuous program compliance with external licensing and regulatory agencies and works with the Program Supervisor in program development, implementation and evaluation.

 

POSITION: Nurse Manager
LOCATION:

STATUS: Full Time
QUALIFICATIONS:A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and Pennsylvania R.N. License, and at least five (5) years experience working in a supervisory capacity in an inpatient or residential setting serving children and families. Valid Drivers license is required.
DESCRIPTION: Nurse Manager plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of overall nursing care to residents.  Directly provides and coordinates nursing and medical care to residents.   The Nurse Manager assumes leadership of agency nursing services, participates in overall treatment planning, agency quality improvement activities, and agency administrative functions.  Nurse Manager is also responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of a comprehensive system’s approach to health care service delivery that meets all state, local, federal, and credentialing guidelines.

 

 POSITION: Life Plan Coach

QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters’ Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field and one year experience in mental health or child welfare preferred.  In lieu of Masters Degree, BS Degree in Human Services and three years experience in mental health or child welfare required. Bilingual ability preferred. Also must have a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
DESCRIPTION: :The Life Plan Coach has primary responsibility for developing, documenting, and implementing most aspects of a youth’s Life plan and ISP assures the safety, health, and welfare of the youth while using counseling, educational, and life skills to build character and encourage the youth’s successful achievement of their Life Plan goals. 

 

POSITION: Youth Care Worker III
LOCATION: Flourtown Neighborhood Center
STATUS: Full Time and Relief
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an area of human services
  • At least three years related experience, preferable in a residential treatment setting
  • OR
  • Associate’s Degree in a human services area
  • At least three years of increasingly responsible childcare experience, preferable in a residential treatment setting
  • OR
  • High School Diploma (or equivalency)
  • 60 semester credit hours from an approved educational program
  • Five years of increasingly responsible childcare experience, preferably in a residential treatment setting

DESCRIPTION: Responsible for providing leadership for the provision of all services to cottage residents within the mandates required by Agency policy and regulatory bodies.  Work to assist all Cottage staff in meeting their assigned tasks.

 

POSITION: Youth Care Worker II-Non CBH and CBH Credentialed Cottages
LOCATION: Flourtown Neighborhood Center
STATUS: Full Time and Relief
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum High School Diploma and (1) year experience working with behaviorally challenged youth. A valid driver’s license is required.   
For CBH Credentialed Cottages, Minimum of High School Diploma and 12 college credits with 2 years experience working with behaviorally challenged youth or Bachelors Degree with 1 year experience working with behaviorally challenged youth. A valid driver’s license is required.
DESCRIPTION: Responsible for assisting in the direct implementation of the Agency and Cottage programs.  Insure the health, safety, and well being of the Residents in accordance with the goals of the individual treatment plan.
    

 

POSITION:  Family Support Worker
LOCATION: Norristown Neighborhood Center
STATUS:  Full-Time
QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree in human services field with at least one (1) year of experience in a child and adolescent mental health or chemical dependency, child welfare or juvenile justice setting.  Must have valid Driver's license and insured vehicle. Systems approach and desire to work with families is strongly preferred.
DESCRIPTION: The Family Support Worker works with families in FFSBS program and various home-based counseling programs, as well as with community resources in a systemic approach to working with families

LOCATION: Norristown Neighborhood Center
STATUS:  Full-Time
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree in a mental health field with at least one (1) year of experience in a child and adolescent mental health or chemical dependency setting, child welfare or juvenile justice setting.  Family therapy and Trauma treatment background strongly preferred.Must have valid Driver's license and insured vehicle.
DESCRIPTION: The Therapist works with families in FFSBS program and various home-based counseling programs, as well as with community resources in a systemic approach to working with families

POSITION:  Family Development Specialist
LOCATION: Norristown Neighborhood Center
STATUS:  Full-Time
QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree in human services field with at least one (3) years of experience and/or MSW or Masters Degree in related field. 
Must have valid Driver's license and insured vehicle. Parents as Teacher (PAT) certified or able to attend PAT training. Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
DESCRIPTION: The Family Development Specialist delivers in home, family centered, strength based, child abuse prevention programs.  The Family Development Specialist works with community sources in a systemic and collaborative approach.

 

POSITION: Youth Care Worker-Group Home
LOCATION: North Penn Neighborhood Center
STATUS: Relief
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree in Human Services, plus two years experience working with at risk youth or High School diploma with four years experience.  Valid Driver’s License required.                                                                                                                                                                                                                 
DESCRIPTION: The Youth Care Worker is responsible for providing supervision of the Group Home Site and the youth placed at that site during his/her shift.  In addition, the Youth Care Worker is also responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of activities and services which increase and enhance each assigned youth’s life, social and emotional skills.
 

 

CONTRACTED POSITION: Psychiatric Consultant
LOCATION: Flourtown Neighborhood Center
STATUS; Independent Contractor
QUALIFICATIONS: Pennsylvania licensed Psychiatrist with at least 2 years of experience in child and adolescent mental health.  Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry required.
DESCRIPTION: Psychiatric Consultant provides ongoing psychiatric evaluation and consultation for Carson Valley Children’s Aid clients. 

 

CONTRACTED POSITION: TSS
LOCATION: Behavioral Health Services and Norristown Neighborhood Centers
STATUS; Independent Contractor
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following human services disciplines: Sociology, psychology, criminal justice, education, or other Human Service field, is preferred. If one of the above degrees is held, no work experience is required.  Other Bachelor’s degrees or a Registered Nurse require one (1) year, full time paid work experience with children and adolescents.  An Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits requires a minimum of three (3) years paid work experience with children.  Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have experience with BHRS, Magellan, CBH and familiarity with Montgomery County or Philadelphia County.
DESCRIPTION: The TSS Clinician is responsible for providing therapeutic support and direction to an assigned youth.  The TSS Clinician is also responsible for the implementation of specific aspects of the youth’s treatment plan.  The Clinician is additionally responsible for teaching and reinforcing pro-social, adaptive skills.  TSS Clinicians provide services in the youth’s school, home and/or other community settings.

 

CONTRACTED POSITION: Mobile Therapy
LOCATION: Behavioral Health Services and Norristown Neighborhood Centers
STATUS; Independent Contractor
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in a mental health field with at least one (1) year of post Master's Degree experience in a child and adolescent mental health or chemical dependency setting, child welfare or juvenile justice setting or educational setting.  It is preferable that the Mobile Therapist be a licensed mental health professional.  Must have a valid driver’s license.  Must have experience with BHRS, Magellan or CBH and familiarity with Montgomery County or Philadelphia County.
DESCRIPTION: The Mobile Therapist provides child centered, family focused psychotherapy in a setting other than the therapist’s or agency’s office.  The Mobile Therapist is also responsible for addressing defined problems, as specified in the treatment plan, utilizing a strength-based approach to treatment.  The Mobile Therapist generally serves as the lead clinician and takes a leadership role in the development and implementation of the youth’s treatment plan.
 

 

CONTRACTED POSITION: Behavioral Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral level licensed psychologist or Masters in a Mental Health discipline (MSW, Counseling, and/or Psychology) In order for a degree to count as a mental health degree, the degree must contain at least 12 credit hours in core behavioral coursework (i.e. individual, group and family therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, psychopathology, child development, personality theory, etc.) and at least three (3) years experience (2 years must be post Master's Degree)  providing treatment in a child and adolescent Mental Health, child welfare, educational or juvenile justice setting is also required. Must possess specific training in behavior modification, preferably graduate level courses and have some experience applying behavior modification techniques. All fee for service BSC must provide evidence of malpractice insurance.
DESCRIPTION: The Behavioral Specialist Consultant (BSC) designs and directs the implementation of a behavior plan which is individualized to meet the youth’s mental health needs in accordance with the youth’s treatment plan.  The BSC provides instruction to other treatment team members regarding roles and responsibilities in the implementation of the behavior plan
