Driving Under the Influence
Provides intervention for individuals who have been arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) and have been referred by the county DUI office. Participants receive information on the consequences of alcohol use/abuse on the individual and their family and on laws related to alcohol and driving. During the intervention, an assessment is made as to whether further Drug and Alcohol treatment is necessary for a more serious substance abuse problem. The goal is to eliminate future incidents of driving while under the influence of alcohol by highlighting the effects of alcohol on participant’s lives and the lives of those around them.
