Driving Under the Influence
Provides intervention for individuals who have
been arrested for driving under the influence (DUI)
and have been referred by the county DUI office.
Participants receive information on the consequences
of alcohol use/abuse on the individual and their family
and on laws related to alcohol and driving. During
the intervention, an assessment is made as to whether
further Drug and Alcohol treatment is necessary for a
more serious substance abuse problem. The goal is to
eliminate future incidents of driving while under the
influence of alcohol by highlighting the effects of
alcohol on participant’s lives and the lives of those
around them.
Drug and Alcohol Education
Designed for adolescents who have an underage
drinking or drug offense. Group sessions focus on
the impact of substance abuse on themselves and
their families. Participants receive information on the
consequences of alcohol and drug use/abuse on the
youth and their family and on laws related to underage
drinking and drug use. The goal is to eliminate future
incidents of underage drinking or drug abuse.
Outpatient Assessment & Treatment
Offers assessment and treatment to
individuals struggling with substance abuse.
Treatment is designed to help people manage
addictive behaviors and lifestyle. Services are
provided by certified addiction specialists both
through individual and family counseling.
Individuals are helped to understand the impact
substance abuse is having on themselves and
their family. Families receive assistance in
coping with a loved one’s addiction.
Women's Voices, Healthy Choices
Takes a proactive approach towards reducing
the incidence of substance abuse in pregnant
women. An experienced social worker provides
a range of short-term case management, linkages,
education, and support services to pregnant
women who are struggling with substance abuse
issues. The social worker provides services out
of neighborhood OB/GYN clinics and in clients’
homes in the community. The primary goal of
the program is to improve birth outcomes among
women who abuse substances during pregnancy.
